Momotaro Auction - March 30th 2010 - Photos
After another busy day at the Momotaro Auction, Koibito Japan managed to get 10 koi for our customers.
The day started as usualy with previews of the stock. Koibito Japan had already been to Momotaro Koi Farm over one week early to look at koi selected by customers who got bids in early. At that point, we had confirmed by Daisuke, what we already thought, Showa 1, Sanke 1, and Kohaku 38 would be the fore-runners in the bidding on the day. We were not mistaken...each of them went for over 1,000,000 yen. Averages prices on the day were around 300,000 yen, with the best koi going for considerably more, 500,000...700,000...900,000, and the least desirable going for considerably less.

This will be 60 pcs of the best of the best, koi in the next auction will be automatically entered into the 3rd Annual Momotaro Koi Show.
